How to verify a KPKT licence in 2 minutes
Loan scams are a serious problem in Malaysia. Scammers often impersonate licensed companies, sometimes even using another company's real licence number, and ask victims to pay a processing fee or deposit before the loan is disbursed. You shouldn't have to take our word for it, verify it yourself.

Your rights as a borrower
KPKT sets out rights that every licensed community credit company must respect. If any of these doesn't happen, treat it as a warning sign:
- Every loan transaction takes place at the licensed premises, and the agreement is signed at the approved premises.
- No payment may be collected except what the loan agreement states, and every such payment must be explained to you.
- The money is released only once the documents are complete, stamped and handed over at the company.
- You're entitled to a free copy of the agreement, and a receipt for every repayment.
- Never sign an incomplete form or a blank document.
- Interest on an unsecured loan is capped at 18% a year.

That's why we ask you to come to our office to sign: the law requires it. See what happens at each step.
Warning signs of a scam
Anyone doing any of the following is not a responsible licensed lender:
- Asking for an upfront fee, processing fee, or deposit before disbursing a loan
- Claiming "guaranteed approval" or "no documents needed"
- Charging interest above the statutory cap (18%/year unsecured, 12%/year secured)
- Dealing purely through WhatsApp or social media with no verifiable physical office
- Asking for your ATM card PIN and bank account access
Before you transfer any money
Metro Cashe Management will never ask you to transfer money before your loan is released. If anyone asks you to, check the receiving bank account on PDRM's SemakMule portal first.
An account that isn't listed isn't necessarily safe. It only means no police report has been recorded against it.
Important Safety Notice
We never ask you to pay any money out of your own pocket before a loan is disbursed: no upfront payment, no deposit. If anyone claims to represent Metro Cashe Management and asks you to pay first. That is a scam. Before making any payment, call us directly at 03-6279 9766 to verify.
If you're unsure
